Ten tips on how to remain a rich Christian

  1. Learn off the 'Tall poppy syndrome.' a claim by rich people that poor people just want to cut them down to size.

A.  You can learn this phrase from rich people.

B.  Unfortunately poor people don’t use it, even though they are supposed to.

  1. Understand that when Jesus said 'give all you have to the poor' he didn’t really mean it. You just have to be willing, not actually do it. It's the thought that counts.

  2. Reading and avoiding:

A.  Read books with titles like 'Moving from success to significance,' 'Dare to Dream,' or 'Discover the winner within you.'

B.  Even better, write a book with a title like that - there are millions to be made in that business.

C.  Don’t read Ecclesiastes. Agree with those who wonder how it got into the Bible in the first place. All that vanity stuff is just poor self esteem.

  1. Corollary to point 3. Convince yourself you are going to leave a lasting legacy that people will remember you by. A.  .. and that God will also be grateful for your efforts in creating.

  1. Attend a church with a building program. The weekly requests for money will cement in your mind that Christendom cannot continue without cash.

  2. This is the ultimate. Get invited to the annual Presidential prayer breakfast, the gathered clan of America's most powerful Christians. Then you'll know you've really arrived.

A.  If you can't manage that, then at least vote for a Christian political party

  1. Don’t visit missionary endeavours in Africa. You risk seeing how those donations of yours get wasted on the most ridiculous projects.

  2. This one is easy. When faced with a Christian brother who perpetually struggles in business, tell yourself he has problems which are very likely spiritual in nature. If only he would face up to them.

  3. Remind others continually you are earning all this money so you can do one of the following;

A.  Contribute to the 'work' of the 'Kingdom'

B.  Retire and be a mentor to other less fortunates

C.  Stop work and run practical Christian advancement seminars

  1. Get rich or famous speakers into your church or conferences. The existence of Christians who are

A.  Wealthy,

B.  or sporting heroes,

C.  or celebrities,

D.  or play guitars in famous bands

… must surely persuade unbelievers that Christianity is correct.
